Revaree review: does Revaree work for vaginal dryness?
This Revaree review covers Bonafide's hormone-free vaginal insert: original Revaree has 5 mg of hyaluronic acid, Revaree Plus has 10 mg plus sweet almond oil, and you use one every 2 to 3 nights. A one-time box costs $63 to $65. Hyaluronic acid eases dryness and painful sex in trials, though in a head-to-head trial vaginal estrogen did better on dryness itself.
Revaree is a hormone-free hyaluronic acid insert: 5 mg in the original, 10 mg plus almond oil in Revaree Plus, from $63 a box. What trials show, side effects, condoms and cost.
Revaree for vaginal dryness: expectation vs reality
What people often expect
“Revaree works just like vaginal estrogen, without the hormones”
What the evidence shows
In a 2024 trial of 300 women, hyaluronic acid improved overall vaginal health as much as vaginal estrogen after a month, and it did better on itching. Estrogen did better on dryness itself, and most trials of vaginal treatments last 12 weeks or less.
Revaree review: ingredients, use, evidence and cost
What's in Revaree and Revaree Plus
Each original Revaree insert contains 5 mg of hyaluronic acid with semi-synthetic glycerides and sodium salt. Revaree Plus has 10 mg of hyaluronic acid sodium salt, sweet almond oil and semi-synthetic glycerides. Bonafide says both inserts are the same size, contain no hormones, parabens, soy, gluten or GMOs, and that Revaree is cleared by the FDA as a Class II medical device.
Who Revaree is for
Bonafide says Revaree Plus is meant for any woman with vaginal dryness or pain during sex. Dryness is most common around menopause, but it also happens while breastfeeding, on hormonal contraception or antidepressants, after a hysterectomy or cancer treatment, and with perfumed soaps or douches. Revaree treats the dryness itself; it doesn't replace a check-up if you have bleeding, unusual discharge or symptoms that don't settle.
Learn more →How to use Revaree
Use Revaree at bedtime. Pull open the plastic strip, hold the insert between thumb and forefinger, and push it into the vagina with your finger as far as it comfortably goes. Lying on your back with knees bent helps. Stay lying down for 30 minutes to cut down on leakage, and repeat every 2 to 3 nights or as your doctor advises.
Does Revaree work? The hyaluronic acid evidence
A 2026 meta-analysis of 11 randomized trials found that hyaluronic acid improved vaginal health, dryness-related quality of life and sexual function in postmenopausal women, and it wasn't inferior to active treatments it was compared with. The evidence was rated moderate for dryness and sexual function. These trials tested hyaluronic acid products in general; Bonafide cites its own figures of 84% less dryness and 57% less painful sex at day 30.
Revaree vs vaginal estrogen
In a 2024 trial, 300 women used vaginal estrogen or vaginal hyaluronic acid for a month. Vaginal health scores improved equally, hyaluronic acid worked better for itching and estrogen worked better for dryness. NAMS says non-hormonal products are enough for most women with mild symptoms, while low-dose vaginal estrogen is an effective treatment for moderate to severe vaginal and urinary symptoms of menopause.
Learn more →Revaree side effects and safety
Bonafide says no serious adverse events were reported in clinical studies. A 2026 meta-analysis of hyaluronic acid trials also found no serious adverse events and few women stopping treatment, but rated the safety evidence as low quality. The common nuisance is leakage, which is why Bonafide suggests using it at bedtime. Revaree Plus contains sweet almond oil, so Bonafide advises the original Revaree if you're allergic to almonds.
Revaree with condoms and sex
Bonafide says Revaree isn't compatible with condoms, and Revaree Plus isn't compatible with natural rubber latex, polyurethane or polyisoprene condoms. It isn't a contraceptive or a spermicide. For Revaree Plus, Bonafide suggests allowing about one hour for the insert to absorb before sex. If you rely on condoms, a moisturizer labeled as condom-compatible, plus a lubricant during sex, is the safer combination.
Learn more →Revaree price and subscription
On Bonafide's site a one-time box of Revaree costs $63 plus $5 shipping, and Revaree Plus costs $65 (checked October 2026). Subscriptions cut the price: Revaree is $47 on the monthly plan, $129 every three months or $222 every six months, and Revaree Plus is $52, $141 or $246. Bonafide products aren't covered by insurance, but Bonafide offers an HSA or FSA eligibility check through Truemed.
Revaree vs Replens
Replens Long-Lasting Vaginal Moisturizer is a polycarbophil gel used every three days, and its directions say it's compatible with latex condoms. In a 2022 trial of 53 women in the menopause transition, polycarbophil gel was no less effective than hyaluronic acid gel for vaginal health, and hyaluronic acid added no extra benefit. Revaree comes as single-dose inserts; Replens is a gel in a tube with a reusable applicator.

Before you buy Revaree
- Choose original Revaree if you're allergic to almonds: Revaree Plus contains sweet almond oil.
- If you use condoms, pick a condom-compatible moisturizer instead: Revaree isn't compatible with condoms.
- Plan to use it at bedtime and stay lying down for 30 minutes.
- Compare one-time and subscription prices: a single box is $63, the 3-month plan $129.
- Use creams and inserts made for the vagina only: body lotions can cause irritation or an infection.
When vaginal dryness needs a doctor, not Revaree
Dryness for a few weeks and self-care isn't working
See a doctor. Vaginal estrogen is often the next step, and it's safe for most women.
More →Bleeding after sex or after menopause
See a doctor. Bleeding after menopause should be seen by a specialist within 2 weeks.
More →Unusual discharge, smell or sores
See a doctor or sexual health clinic to rule out infection.
More →You've had breast cancer
Start with non-hormonal options. If they don't help, vaginal estrogen may still be possible: discuss it with your oncologist.
Revaree: questions women ask
Is Revaree worth it?
It can be if you want a hormone-free option that's less messy than a gel. Hyaluronic acid has moderate-quality evidence for easing dryness and improving sex after menopause. A one-time box costs $63, and polycarbophil gels like Replens did as well in a head-to-head trial.
Related →What are the side effects of Revaree?
Bonafide says no serious adverse events were reported in clinical studies, and hyaluronic acid trials show few women stopping treatment. Expect some leakage, which is why it's used at bedtime. Revaree Plus contains sweet almond oil, so avoid it if you're allergic to almonds.
What's the difference between Revaree and Revaree Plus?
Both are same-size hyaluronic acid inserts used every 2 to 3 nights. Original Revaree has 5 mg of hyaluronic acid; Revaree Plus has 10 mg plus sweet almond oil and costs a little more, $65 for a one-time box against $63.
How long does Revaree take to work?
Bonafide says Revaree can relieve dryness in as little as nine days and Revaree Plus in seven, and quotes its biggest improvements at day 30. Those are the brand's figures. Give it about a month of regular use before you decide.
Can you use Revaree with condoms?
No. Bonafide says Revaree isn't compatible with condoms, and Revaree Plus isn't compatible with latex, polyurethane or polyisoprene condoms. It also isn't a contraceptive. If you rely on condoms, use a condom-compatible moisturizer and lubricant instead.
Related →Is Revaree safe after breast cancer?
Revaree is hormone-free, and non-hormonal moisturizers are the usual first step after breast cancer. Few trials of vaginal treatments have included women with a history of cancer, though, so check with your oncology team before you start.
How much does Revaree cost?
A one-time box costs $63 plus $5 shipping on Bonafide's site, and Revaree Plus costs $65 (checked October 2026). Subscriptions start at $47 a month for Revaree and $52 for Revaree Plus. Insurance doesn't cover it, but HSA or FSA may.
Can I use Revaree before sex?
Bonafide suggests allowing about one hour for Revaree Plus to absorb before sex, and recommends using inserts at bedtime. Because it isn't condom-compatible, a condom-safe lubricant is the better choice on nights you use condoms.
Related →Do you need a prescription for Revaree?
No. Revaree is sold without a prescription, including directly from Bonafide. NAMS says non-hormonal products available without a prescription give enough relief for most women with mild symptoms; for moderate to severe symptoms, prescription vaginal estrogen is the more effective option.
